Source:The Old Switch-a-Brew Publicans in a north London borough are considering taking legal action against police for harassment, after officers visited pubs up to twice a week to carry out licence checks. Publicans currently claiming working tax credits could lose the benefit if their pub is not “gainful” under new Government changes, according to trade accountants. Licensing law firm Poppleston Allen has launched an app called MyLicence providing a guide to licensing and gambling laws along with regulation and enforcement in England and Wales. A third of non-domestic properties that had an energy performance certificate (EPC) lodged last year were given a poor rating of E or lower, according to a new Government report on the energy performance of building certificates.
