Manor Hill was a bit of a surprise for me. The beer is good, but I will get back to that. They are located in a residential area – so they have a hard-zoning cap of 50 patrons at any time. I saw something on their web site about reservations, but I tuned out assuming it applied to groups or brewery tours. Nope – you need a reservation, to visit the tap room, at least on a Saturday afternoon. Fortunately, a foursome with a reservation was a no-show and we were able to stay until 4:00 when another group – with a reservation – was expected.
The web site says 12 beers on tap, but there were 9 on my visit; including 3 IPAs, Amber, Gose, Kolsch, Grisette. I had a couple of IPAs that I enjoyed. The setting is beautiful. 3,000 hop plants are grown on site. The staff was very knowledgeable on beer and the local beer scene. It’s worth a trip (with a reservation).
