Unions-Braeu closed some time ago. Other reviews are correct in that it seemed an afterthought from Lowenbrau. In another city it would have been a showpiece, but in Munich it was always an also-ran compared to the great beer halls.
If you’re in the area, it’s an easy walk to the Hofbrau Biergarden (not the tourist mecca, but the one the locals go to.) —Bob & Ellie Tupper, authors, “Drinking In the Culture, Tuppers’ Guide to Exploring Great Beers in Europe.”
